B6: Blame my Tabasco cravings on Dad |
I think it was my Dad who got me hooked on the sauce. No, not the alcohol sauce, though both my parents are alcoholics. In fact, my mom died in October 1996 from cirrohsis (needed dictionary.com for that one); I still think of Mom every day. I wrote a song for her when she died called She’s On That Road. Maybe someday I’ll share that song online.
I digress. So dad got me hooked on Tabasco sauce. He would put Tabasco on eggs, steak, and pretty much anything that wasn’t sweet, and I acquired at a very early age this taste for Tabasco. Tabasco is really good for you, too, as it contains only these three ingredients (no preservatives or other garbage): distilled vinegar, red pepper, salt. I don’t eat Tabasco on anything sweet or in drinks, so no ice cream or bloody marys. Speaking of drinking, I don’t drink coffee so this Blogathon could get real interesting in the final 6 hours or so. Don’t forget I’ll be doing a LIVE radio show the last 2 hours of this Blogathon which is 4am PST / 7pm EST. Ok, I’m going to work on plugging in this webcam. I’ll have more Tabasco info in my next entry, telling you all about the most tabasco sauce I’ve consumed in a single sitting (you might be shocked).
Did this post make you go hmm?
